App Creation and Permissions

You need to set up a Custom App in your Shopify Store.

  1. Find Apps Section in your Store Admin

  1. The select the Develop apps section

  2. Create an app

    Give the App name a reference to Imager Uploader and assign yourself as the developer

  3. Image Uploader only needs to access the Admin API Integration

    The app will need permission to (access scopes):

    Select the Latest Webhook API

    Your Admin API Configuration should look something like this:

<aside> 💡 Install the App, reveal and copy the token. You only get one go at this. So copy and store somewhere safe

Store the token some where safe. Save any other app details and return to the home page of the Shopify admin.

Before leaving Shopify there are a couple things you still need to do.

  1. Create a new product in your store and call it TEST PRODUCT. Make it unavailable on all channels so it does not shop up in your live store. Note the Product ID number in the url.
